Building your confidence in approaching conflict will elevate your leadership and help you foster a winning mindset. In this session, you'll learn to reframe your definition of conflict and how to use your new definition to reach your goals. You'll uncover the 5 Hidden Dimensions of Conflict to better understand yourself and others. You'll leave with powerful words, phrases, and skills you can use immediately to boost your conflict confidence.

The Speaker: Anna Nielsen. Conflict Capable Solutions and Founder Anna Nielsen are revolutionizing how you and organizations like yours, approach workplace conflict.

Anna is an award-winning speaker with an innovative approach and contagious energy. For many years Anna served as executive leader for mission-driven organizations that were stifled by conflict. She’s on a mission to help people level up from conflict management to conflict capabilities with her experience and expertise in conflict resolution consulting, civil mediation, civil mediation training, and facilitated dialogues. Now, she works alongside individual leaders, teams, and organizations to give them strategies to confidently approach conflict. Using the Conflict Capable Framework, they shift their mindset about conflict and learn shared words, phrases, and skills that unlock their unlimited potential. Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in Diversity Studies and Communication and a master’s degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership. She’s based in Minneapolis where she lives with her husband Gabe and Morris, the bouncy Golden Retriever.

The Speaker: Matt Glowacki. Matt is a disability speaker and advocate; he has delivered his messages to over a million people at hundreds of regional and national conventions. In addition to speaking at a variety of corporate events and trainings, Matt has served as the DE& I Director for the WI State SHRM Council and is actively involved with his local community while serving on the board of directors for Jefferson County SHRM.

The Speaker: Ryan Thompson. While always working within the HR arena, Ryan’s career path as an HR Consultant & Director of HR for Silver Star Brands has been somewhat unconventional. During his 20+ year career, he has spent time as a recruiter, clerked for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, practiced law as a business & employment law attorney, served as General Counsel, led & consulted on a significant number of corporate & HR restructuring projects, and has served as the acting Director of HR & Safety for a number of local manufacturing companies. He is also passionate about helping people and is currently volunteering with the YMCA of the Fox Cities, Fox Valley United Way, and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Ryan has previously served on the Board of Directors for organizations like Harbor House, Apricity (f/n/a Step Industries), UW-O Touchdown Club, Fox Valley Young Lawyers Association, Outagamie County Bar Association, and the Fox Valley Society of Human Resource Management.
